Lucy Muchina

Deputy Chief Nurse at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and Co-Chair of the NMC’s Professional Strategy Advisory Group (PSAG).

Lucy has experience in senior roles across health and social care. She previously worked as a Regional Director and brings extensive operational and policy experience, working closely with senior leaders to amplify the voice of nursing and support excellence in patient care, workforce development and system-wide transformation.  

Lucy has an MSc in Public Health and an ILM Level 7 qualification in Executive Coaching, which she uses to mentor and empower emerging leaders across the sector. She is passionate about advocacy, equity and innovation, and champions inclusive leadership that reflects the diversity of the communities served.  

Lucy has presented on global stages, advocating for the rights of women and marginalised groups. She is also a published author of three books and a singer-songwriter.
