Deputy Chief Nurse for Public Health at the Department of Health and Social Care.

Jamie has held local, regional, national and global roles across the health and care sector. He has led several high-profile areas of work, including the NHS Health Check, cardiovascular disease prevention and the Healthy Child Programme.
Jamie has published on a wide range of subjects and holds honorary professorial positions at the University of Nottingham and the University of Hull. He is committed to supporting health and care systems to place greater emphasis on preventing illness, promoting health and wellbeing, and protecting the public’s health.
