Ian Naldrett

Associate Director of Nursing for Surgery, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Associated Services at North Middlesex University Hospital, and Chair of the British Association of Critical Care Nurses.

 

Ian has a background in critical care, academia and nursing leadership. He chairs the British Association of Critical Care Nurses and represents the UK within the World Federation of Critical Care Nurses, having previously represented the UK in the European Federation of Critical Care Nursing Associations.  

Ian joined North Middlesex University Hospital in 2022 and has held Associate Director of Nursing and Divisional Director of Nursing roles across three divisions. Before this, he worked as a Clinical Academic at the University of West London and in intensive care at Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust.  

Ian holds a BSc in Critical Care Practice, an MSc in Healthcare Practice and a Postgraduate Certificate in Practice Education. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and an NMC Teacher, and has contributed to nursing textbooks and peer-reviewed journals on nursing care, education and leadership.
