NMC welcomes Dame Eileen Sills as Senior Nurse Advisor

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) has announced that Dame Eileen Sills has been appointed as Senior Nurse Advisor to the Chief Executive alongside her current role as Chief Nurse at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. 

NMC Chief Executive and Registrar Jackie Smith said: 

“I am delighted to welcome Dame Eileen to the NMC. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise from her role leading nursing and midwifery services at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. 

“We are committed to improving how we protect the public through modern and effective regulation. We recognise that nurses and midwives have an important role in shaping how we deliver public protection. Eileen’s experience will be a valuable resource and add a contemporary nursing perspective to our work.” 

Dame Eileen said:

“I am delighted to have been offered the opportunity to work with the NMC and I look forward to working closely with Jackie Smith.”
