Hazel Williams

Hazel is the Chief Executive of Birthrights - the leading authority on the rights of women and birthing people during pregnancy and birth in the UK.

Hazel Williams.pngShe is an experienced values led leader, who has worked in the social justice sector with a focus on migrant and racial justice for over 20 years, upholding human rights and ensuring access to justice.

After the birth of her children, she was moved to train as a birth doula and is passionate about ensuring that all women and birthing people, have their rights and choices respected to birth how they want - free from discrimination.

She is committed to working in community to ensure the diverse experiences of maternity care are made more visible, and women and birthing people are both able to advocate for their rights - and be part of a broader movement to bring about birth justice for all.
