Dr Lynne Wigens OBE

Current position and background
Lynne's portfolio of work includes being a Non-Executive Director of AHP Suffolk, and a member of Tristone Healthcare Independent Safeguarding Board. She is Visiting Professor of Nursing at the University of Suffolk and holds an Honorary Professorship in Health Studies at the University of East Anglia. Lynne was a Trustee of the Royal Osteoporosis Society for six years and is now a Trustee of Versus Arthritis.
Lynne held executive roles as East of England Regional Chief Nurse, Director of Nursing and Quality at The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust and Director of Patient Safety and Clinical Quality at NHS Suffolk. Lynne is a Florence Nightingale Scholar, studying the nursing contribution to integrated care in Canterbury, New Zealand and Norrtälje, Sweden. Her career of over 40 years within healthcare led to her being awarded an OBE in 2020 for services to nursing.
