Lesley Maslen
Executive Director of Professional Regulation
Lesley Maslen leads the Professional Regulation Directorate, the directorate responsible for regulatory decisions about people joining, or on, our register. This includes maintaining the register of nurses, midwives and nursing associates eligible to practise, and looking at concerns raised with us about people on the register.
Joining the NMC in August 2022 from the Financial Ombudsman Service, Lesley brings a wealth of casework management and leadership experience. At the Financial Ombudsman Service, she was Lead Ombudsman and Director of Casework since 2017. In this role, she was responsible for handling and resolving disputes between financial businesses and their customers.
Previously, she was Head of Customer Services at Which, and Director of Digital Customer Experience at Catalyst Housing.
