We value the diversity of the people on our register, our employees and the people and communities we and our professionals serve.
We have a responsibility as a regulator and as an employer to do everything in our power to tackle discrimination and inequality and to promote diversity and inclusion. We’re taking action, but we have much more to do. We recognise our individual and collective responsibilities to address these issues.
In June 2025 we published new EDI strategic objectives and targets, this follows the publication of our three-year Culture Transformation Plan in March 2025. A key pillar of this work is our framework for embedding EDI throughout the NMC.
Our Council will discuss and approve these proposed strategic objectives and targets at their meeting on 2 July.
