Ravi Chand
Executive Director of People and Culture
As Executive Director of People and Culture, Ravi leads the team driving the NMC’s people strategy and plays a central role in accelerating our organisational turnaround.
Ravi joined the NMC from the Cabinet Office, where he was Director for the Civil Service People and Places Directorate, leading the government’s Places for Growth programme and sponsoring the Government Property Agency.
He previously served as Chief People Officer at the Department for International Development (now FCDO), overseeing people, operations, IT and systems, estates and change. Prior to that, he was HR Director at HM Revenue and Customs, responsible for workforce management of 69,000 staff and leading workforce reforms aligned to the department’s future vision.
Ravi has also held senior roles at the Home Office and in the private sector, and earlier in his career served as a police officer with Bedfordshire Police.
