While many of the core processes will feel familiar, MyNMC introduces a number of improvements designed to make the system clearer, more accessible and more secure for everyone who uses it.
A refreshed look and clearer layout
MyNMC has a refreshed design and improved layout to make it easier to understand what you need to do at each stage.
You’ll notice:
- clearer page layouts
- more consistent navigation
- improved spacing and readability
- The steps you follow to complete tasks such as revalidation, paying your fee or submitting applications remain broadly the same.
Improved accessibility
MyNMC has been built to better meet accessibility standards, helping ensure the platform works well for a wider range of users.
This includes improvements to:
- colour contrast and text readability
- keyboard navigation
- screen reader compatibility (we're aware that some screen readers may have some issues when we launch, we're working on a fix to this issue)
- These changes aim to make everyday tasks simpler and more inclusive.
A more secure way to log in
To improve account security, MyNMC introduces multi-factor authentication (MFA).
The first time you log in, you’ll be asked to:
- confirm your login details
- set up an extra verification step, such as a one-time passcode sent by email or text message
- This is a one-time setup and helps protect your personal information.
- We have produced a video guide on how to use MFA.
More reliable performance
Behind the scenes, MyNMC is built on a more modern platform. This helps improve:
- system reliability
- consistency across different portals
- the ability to maintain and update services in future
What hasn’t changed
It’s important to note that MyNMC is not a complete redesign of how NMC processes work.
- Core processes and requirements remain the same
- Information you’ve already submitted will still be available
- You won’t need to learn entirely new ways of completing tasks
- Our aim has been to improve the experience without disrupting how you already interact with us.
