Take part in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's consultation
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has launched a public consultation on the contents of its refreshed Competency Framework for All Prescribers.
Our Council approved adoption of the RPS competency framework in 2018, as our standards of proficiency for prescribing practice. Since January 2019, the framework has represented our benchmark standards for safe and effective prescribing and the required course outcomes for all NMC approved prescribing programmes.
The consultation closes on Friday 7 May 2021.
Further details including a summary of the proposed changes, the consultation document and link to the online survey can be found on their website:
Respond to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's consultation.
We encourage all nurse and midwife prescribers, prescribing students and anyone with an interest in nursing and midwifery prescribing education to take part in the survey and contribute to the future framework and standards.
