Andrea Sutcliffe comments on the NMC's review of the post registration standards.
Andrea Sutcliffe CBE, Chief Executive and Registrar of the Nursing and Midwifery Council said,
“I’m glad that Council has confirmed the decision to move forward with the launch of this important public consultation starting on 8 April. We know there are different views so we are keen to share the draft standards as soon as possible and we're committed to a collaborative consultation process. We want to ensure everyone’s perspectives are heard so they can help shape our shared ambition to have a final set of excellent community nursing standards that reflect the needs of all involved."
The Royal College of Nursing, The Queen’s Nursing Institute together with other organisations issued an open letter about the proposed consultation on 12 March 2021. You can read our response here.
