Sir David Warren, Chair of the Council said:
“On behalf of the Council, I’d like to congratulate Justine on her appointment as Chief Midwifery Officer for Scotland. Justine has made an invaluable contribution to the NMC, making sure that we’ve heard the voice of midwifery on Council. We know she’ll bring the same expert voice and perspective to bear in her new role, supporting the health and wellbeing of women, babies and families across Scotland.”
Notes
- Justine will step down from her role as registrant Council member for Scotland on 31 December 2021.
- We will begin the search in the New Year for a new member who lives or works wholly and mainly in Scotland with midwifery expertise. This will help to ensure that the midwifery perspective is always heard at the highest levels of the NMC.
