NMC congratulates Dr Jacqui Williams on prestigious midwifery honour

Dr Jacqui Williams, NMC Senior Midwifery Education Adviser and a registered midwife for more than 40 years, has been awarded the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) Fellowship for her contributions to midwifery, including midwifery education.

Andrea Sutcliffe, NMC Chief Executive and Registrar, said:

“I’m delighted that Jacqui has been recognised for her essential contributions to midwifery and midwifery education. As a registered professional for more than 40 years, Jacqui’s enthusiasm and passion for her profession is clear. She is dedicated to ensuring that women, babies and families receive the safe, effective and kind midwifery care they have the right to expect.

“Jacqui is a vital member of the NMC team. She has played a crucial role in developing and implementing our Future Midwife standards, and as a member of our midwifery panel shares her extensive knowledge, experience and advice so that we can make a positive impact on midwifery across the UK.

“Congratulations Jacqui on this wonderful achievement, and thank you for the work you do.”
