Current position and background

Lindsay brings senior strategic leadership experience at board level as both an executive and non-executive director within the third and public sectors. She is also currently Vice Chair of Velindre University NHS Trust Board in Wales where she is the Independent Member EDI Lead and Speaking Up Safely Champion as well as Chair of the Strategic Development Committee.

Previously Lindsay was Chair of the Wales Audit Office Board between 2020 and 2023, having been a non-executive Board member there since 2015, including as Chair of the Remuneration and HR Committee and Senior Independent Director.

She has had a distinguished career in the charity sector in Wales, including as the Director for Mind Cymru between 1995 and 2014, having previously held positions in mental health development and housing development.

Lindsay was also a school governor for many years including as Chair and Vice-chair, as well as serving briefly as a local Community Councillor. She has also worked as an executive coach with senior executives in both the public and third sector and as a management consultant focused on the development of excellence in governance.

In her spare time Lindsay volunteers with the Welsh Ambulance Services Trust as a Community Welfare Responder, being first on scene in support of the delivery of urgent care for patients in the community across South East Wales.
