NMC’s Sam Foster named visiting professor at University of Greenwich

At Greenwich, Sam will be helping with the preparation of the students for registration and beyond. She will also be involved in the creation of new courses, and act as an ambassador for developing international work in health and nursing. She will support the creation of bids and research projects and author and support research publications.

Sam joined the NMC in March 2023 as Executive Director for Professional Practice from Oxford University Hospitals NHSFT where she held the role of Chief Nursing Officer for five years.

Sam’s previous roles include Chief Nursing Officer at the Heart of England NHSFT and the delivery of a number of clinical operational and educational roles. Sam’s clinical background is intensive care nursing, where she proudly undertook clinical practice during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
