Responding to Dr Ruth May’s appointment as Chief Nursing Officer for England, NMC interim Chief Executive, Sue Killen said:
“I am delighted that Dr Ruth May has been appointed as the new Chief Nursing Officer for England. She is already a great ambassador for the nursing community and has a real depth of knowledge when it comes to what matters to nurses. I know Ruth will make a worthy successor to Professor Jane Cummings and I look forward to continuing to work closely with her in her new role.”
